The Most Powerful Natural Sleeping Aid

Utilisation of valerian have a tradition of over four thousand years and is considered a reference plant, both in Europe and in Asia. Popular tradition offered to this plant magical characteristics. In the last 4 decades it was dedicated hundred of studies on this plant and all attest to the same thing: valerian is one of the most effective remedies to treat emotional disorders and physical illnesses associated with them.  Valerian is considered the most powerful sleeping aid. SO, if you have problems with your sleep, I recommend you to drink some valerian tea or to use the next natural remedies.

Hydro-alcoholic extract (tincture)

This form of valerian is the most commonly used, as it have a fast and intense action, even in relatively low doses. Here is the preparation method: put in a jar  20 tablespoons of valerian root powder, then add two cups (500 ml) of 70 degrees alcohol. Close the jar tightly and leave it for two weeks in a warm place, then filter the obtained product and put in small, dark bottles. You can take 10 drops of this extract, 4 timer per day.

Valerian powder

Finely grind the valerian root. Put the obtained powder in a jar and keep it for 2 weeks in a dark place. Usually, there are administrated 3-4 doses per day of 1/2 teaspoon of this powder, on an empty stomach.

Combined infusion

Macerate 3-4 tablespoons of grated valerian root in half litre of water, for 8-10 hours, then filter the water. Keep this water. Take the macerated valerian root and boil it in another half litre of water, for 5 minutes. Leave the water to cool and filter it. Combine both extracts and drink 1-2 cups of this water per day.
